The adjacent Maxwell infrastructure area (formally known as the Drayton Open Cut) is planned to service the Spur Hill Underground Coal Project. This existing infrastructure area was established in the early 1980’s to service the Drayton Open Cut and includes a coal preparation plant, train load out, administration area and workshops. The Drayton open cut workings are currently being rehabilitated.
