2017 ASVO Viticulturalist of the Year

Liz Riley & her award

"The ASVO Viticulturist of the year, was awarded Liz Riley, owner and operator of Vitibit, a viticultural consultancy based in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. Liz was recognised for her expertise in the sustainable management of vineyard pests and diseases including her contribution to numerous research, development and extension projects focussed on fungicide resistance, practical implementation and recommendations for effective pest and disease control."

Congratulations to Liz Riley, viticulturist for our Merton Vineyard, for winning The Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology's (ASVO) Viticulturalist of the Year.

Under Liz’s guidance and implementation by our vineyard manager, Rodney Muldoon, and his colleague, David Costello, Merton is now producing grapes of a consistently high quality recognised and purchased by other winemakers in the Hunter Valley.
